Kiersten and Erik were a dream to work with on Saturday at their Lake Side Manor wedding this past Saturday! These two were referred by my long time client, Heather! She is the sweetest and most loyal client! And I didn't even recognize her when I walked into the hair and make up room Saturday! She is giving a speech in a photo below, let me tell you she is GLOWING! She looks amazing!
Kiersten and Erik booked an engagement session last year. Which was great I was so happy to get to know them prior to wedding day. I realized when shooting details they used a few of the photos for their stationary and it looked SO GOOD! I love seeing my photos get used for things and seeing which ones the clients liked the most!
I had not been to Lake Side Manor since I believe 2018? Maybe 2019? and was a little taken back to find lots of construction taking place, like currently. The parking lot was down, fences everywhere to block the public. I was a little concerned about what my work arounds would be. I could tell Kiersten was worried herself. Her family let me know that it wasn't until a few weeks earlier that they knew the construction was taking place and that what I was seeing was actually way better then what the venue had looked like just days prior. Thankfully it went great and was not nearly as bad as anyone thought it was! And I was able to give another bride for that is also getting married at this venue next weekend the relief that it was all ok! ..yeah it has been 4 years since I have been to this venue and here I am twice in a month! lol
Thankfully to get this day running smooth we had the help of their amazing coordinator, Angelina from Just In Time Events. We were able to get these two a picture perfect day with perfect work arounds to construction sites! It was really helpful that the venue just installed a deck off the back of the building right on the water (beautiful and the shade and breeze felt amazing!)
This couple opt'd for a first look, which was supposed to leave just a few shots after the ceremony with family members, however everyone was at the venue super early and we ended up getting them all done. In fact that and the rest of the day all went to well that everything was 30 minutes ahead of schedule. I was so shocked! I have never seen a wedding go that far ahead of schedule all the way through! Thankfully all the vendors working were prepared and ready to go whenever. It was a sight I have never seen. It was great!
However, the best part? The whole day I was waiting for this sunset and it was EPIC! I was finally able to get them nice and close to the light house and get some MAGIC for these two!
Kiersten and Erik I wanted to congratulate you again! I hope you treasure these photos and your day for the rest of your lives!
